Karl Rove: ‘I could’ imagine GOP presidential candidate supporting gay marriage
Just last Tuesday, March 19, 2013, I suggested that the GOP needs Karl, but that he should be confined to some smoke-filled back room and not out in the front. Having Karl as the GOP spokesman is like having Bernie Madoff as the poster boy for the Better Business Bureau.
The GOP should not change platforms due to the whim of Karl. He’s a good political strategist, but not the one to be setting the platform.
Someone else sets the path; Karl implements from behind.
The GOP did not lose 2012 because of problems with their platform; they were out-organized is all. The product still sells well with 50%, but there is need for a new marketing firm.
