Obama Considers Corporate Funding for Inauguration
As we prepare to dive off the Fiscal Cliff looming in the coming days, the President is looking for someone to pay for the parties surrounding his inauguration.
I have a simple suggestion, instead of asking corporations to donate, or purchase, the various balls and parties, why not ask them to donate that money towards the deficit. Even if it is only a symbolic gesture, it would show the American public the President is really concerned about the deficit.
So concerned he opted to stay at home and watch a free movie, with popcorn, with his family instead of spending $50M on a somewhat meaningless display of royal grandeur.
He is not, after all, royalty. He is a man who is president. President of a nation facing potential economic ruin.
